Went to the Chinese Lantern Festival in Dallas tonight - pretty cool!
Zoe wasn't big on getting her picture taken in front of the different displays, but specifically asked to get her picture taken in front of these monkeys.
On our way to the train station
The Porcelain Pagoda - composed of over 68,000 ceramic bowls, plates, cups, and spoons

The kids all slept over at Grandma and Grandpa's last night, so they got to play in their PJ's together this morning.

Tonight Zoe flipped out because we wouldn't put a straw in her milk thermos. Yes, the milk thermos on the table in front of her. The one with a built-in straw.

Zoe was watching Daddy load the dishwasher... until her toddler OCD kicked in. She got all upset, told him he was doing it wrong, then took over doing it her way.

Kind of long, but pretty funny.
We did our own version of the "marshmallow test" with Zoe. Basically you give a kid one marshmallow, and tell them they can eat it right away if they want, OR they can wait a little while, and if they can go the whole time without eating it, they can have two. For this test, we set a timer for 2 minutes, which is what she's talking about from about 0:43 to 1:22.
There's a bunch of videos on YouTube showing kids doing this same sort of test, though in those versions the kids are usually a little older, and they're not told how long they have to wait. It's pretty funny watching what the kids do to try to distract themselves. Here's a link to one of the better ones:

Photos from the Halloween events last night - a Halloween get-together at our neighbors' house, followed by trick-or-treating with the 'big kids'! Zoe did a great job keeping up with the other kids at first, running house to house and pumping those little legs like crazy - until she started to get tired.
She was pretty wiped out at the end of the night... As she crawled up the stairs to bed - too tired to walk - she muttered that "This Halloween is hard work!"
Earlier, when we asked what her favorite part of Halloween was, she said, "It was about when people gave us candy."
